Recognition by Honor Society
I was chosen as scholar of the day with an Honor Society that I am a member of. I've copied and posted the clip. It's a little inaccurate because I don't volunteer at the pregnancy center ever since my work schedule changed, but other than that it's all correct.
National Society of Collegiate Scholars
Scholar Of The Day: January 21, 2006
Javonne Doraene Flory
Javonne D. Flory, a psychology major at James Madison University, is determined to attend graduate school and obtain a Master's in Counseling. "I plan to work with adults helping them with daily issues and life problems," Flory explained. "I see myself as a servant. My ultimate goal is to help others."
Outside of the classroom Flory spends most of her time working. "I drive a gasoline tanker full-time," she said. "Besides that I love to hunt, ride motorcycles, play the violin and read. I like both excitement and quiet time in my life to give me some balance. I also volunteer at a local pregnancy center."
When describing her philosophy towards life Flory believes that, "by helping others you end up helping yourself and living a happier more fulfilled life."
Flory was a semifinalist for the NSCS Merit Award, recognizing outstanding new members around the country who exemplify scholarship, leadership and service.

Javonne thanks for posting the clip. Sounds like school is going well for you. Did they mispell your middle name?
What is the NSCS? Did you have to write an essay to enter? You know that would be torcher for me.
I love the way Xanga is helping some of the cousins stay in touch. Mother called me this morning and said she couldn't sleep last night so she got up and read Xanga sites. Maybe we can get her into it!!!!!
You have a great week. I love you bunches. Aunt Polly
Javonne, I love that skirt you told me about. Mom.
Nice to hear from you Javonne. Congratulations. And I hope you enjoy fixing up and decorating the house. I can't imagine having a painting party. That sounds like giving children pain brushes and paint and just letting them have fun. You need to read the children's book by Peter Spier where the children got into the paint cans and painted the house when their parents were away. It's a good book.!!! --Aunt Julia
hee,hee,hee....we DO have a lot of fun! But, last week (or whenever it was) when you were at my house, I was nigh unto jealous. It looked like you had so much fun, and I always love it when you guys come to visit.
